(May through August) This is peak season as the weather is the warmest, attracting crowds to attend local festivals and enjoying the beauty the region has to offer. Temps are in the mid 80's on up to the low 100's in the peak summer months.

Traveling to Texas Hill Country

  • If you are planning your visit to Texas Hill wine country, you'll want to book your flight into San Antonio Airport (SAT) which is about 90 minutes from Fredericksburg. For the jetsetter, you can point your compass towards Gillespie County Airport (T82).
  • If you are already in the local area, there's a few different transportation companies that can get you around from popular ride sharing apps. Private shuttles can be hired to get you to and from the airport and on your daily excursions.
  • Unfortunately there are no public options available to travel to the region. You'll need to view the private transportation options.
