El Dorado Winery Association Partners with CellarPass For 29th Annual “Passport To The Great Out There” Weekend

Passport Offers Complimentary Tastings at Dozens of Heralded Wineries and Tasting Rooms

CellarPass, the leading wine country travel booking platform, has partnered with the El Dorado Winery Association by selling passes to the 29th Annual Passport to The Great Out There weekend, April 17 – 19, 2020. This 3-day event showcases the best the El Dorado grape-growing region has to offer, from award-winning wines and charming tasting rooms, to panoramic vineyard views. The 2020 weekend has been reimagined and promises to be a more engaging event with creative and experiential offerings for pass holders. Enjoy back roads, hidden gems, secret experiences and surprises, and prepare to see a side of winemaking, terroir and creative expression that can only be found in the Sierra Foothills and El Dorado American Viticultural Area.

The passport weekend will showcase more than 20 wineries tucked into high elevation vineyards along the famed Apple Hill region and in rustic historic towns, greeting The Great Out There passport holders with the region’s unique brand of hospitality. Winemakers and winery owners will be offering limited releases, unique and interesting grape varieties, live music, food pairings and other surprises over the 3-day weekend.

Participating wineries and tasting rooms include some of the most renowned in the region, including Boeger Winery, Bumgarner Winery/Camino Tasting Barn & Bumgarner Winery/Fair Play Tasting Room, Chateau Davell Winery, Crystal Basin Cellars, diVittorio Winery, Fenton Herriott Vineyards, Findleton Estate Winery, Holly’s Hill Vineyards, Lava Cap Winery, Madroña Vineyards, Mediterranean Vineyards, Miraflores Winery, Narrow Gate Vineyards, Nello Olivo Winery, Rucksack Cellars, Saluti Cellars, Shadow Ranch Vineyard, Smokey Ridge Farmstand & Winery, Via Romano Vineyards, and Windwalker Vineyard. Participating locations may require advance reservations, or may offer drop in opportunities.

Passport to The Great Out There begins at $40 for a 1-day General Admission, to $120 for a 3-day VIP all-inclusive passport. In addition, a special Designated Driver Passport is available for $20/day for those who do not plan on wine tasting during the weekend, but would still like to join in on the fun with full access to all of the tasty bites, live entertainment and incredible properties.

Tickets for “Passport to The Great Out There” are available beginning Friday, November 1st on CellarPass. The “Passport to the Great Out There” is valid April 17 – 19, 2020. Single-day, 2-day, 3-day general admission and VIP passes are available.
