Three Pop-Up Cinemas, 100-Plus Shorts in 20 Themed Blocks, Best Intermission in Film
San Francisco, CA
(January 13, 2020, Yountville, CA) – The 3rd Annual Yountville Int’l Short Film Festival (YISFF) will be held February 6 – 9 in Napa Valley’s culinary capital of Yountville. Sponsored by the Town of Yountville and its world-class lodging establishments, and inspired by the annual Jessup Cellars Art House Short Film Series (Jan - April), the YISFF features an incredible lineup of more than 80 imagination-stretching short films from across the globe, shown over four days.
In true Yountville-style, the food and wine experiences known as ‘the best intermission in film’ will be as unforgettable as the screenings. The festival again features three Pop-Up Cinemas located at The Barrel Room at The Estate Yountville, Bardessono Inn & Resort and Heritage Room at the Community Hall, all within a short walking distance from each other in Yountville’s one-mile walkable downtown strip lined with Michelin Star and award-winning restaurants, nineteen wine tasting rooms and the finest in accommodations.
“We’ve scheduled our morning-to-afternoon film blocks and evening blocks to allow 3 to 4 hours in between so festival goers may experience some of the best food and wine in the world,” says YISFF co-founder, Bill Hargreaves. “We’ve also created daily wine tasting experiences that are included in our VIP Passes.”
“The Yountville business community is very happy to support the 3rd Annual YISFF,” said Chamber President & CEO Whitney Diver McEvoy. “This unique and enjoyable festival combines all the best that Yountville is known for, compelling art, culinary excellence, world-renowned wine, all presented in an intimate and friendly setting.”
The films exemplify excellence in categories ranging from the best of world cinema to comedy, science fiction, thrillers and so much more. Special Screenings will include children's screenings and Meet the Filmmaker events.
Jessup Cellars continues the highly rated "Art House Short Film Series" in partnership with the Yountville International Short Film Festival. This gathering features four award-winning short films paired with a Jessup Cellars wine and Artisan Flavor-Infused Popcorn as part of Jessup Cellars "Art House Short Film Series" is a VIP event held at Bardessono Resort & Spa as part of the Festival.
