In celebration of the release of our 2016 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon, we’ll celebrate our roots with a delightful day devoted to some of life’s simple pleasures — wine, food, music and retro arcade games!
What do Cabernet and video games have in common? Aside from their entertainment value, both are key parts of the Groth story, as Dennis Groth was the Vice President of Finance at Atari in the 1980s before he and Judy Groth purchased our Oakville Estate in 1981.
Our Spring Release Party will pay homage to both: Be among the first to try our 2016 Oakville Cabernet
Sauvignon (92 points, Wine Spectator) and learn why Wine Spectator called the
Oakville AVA “hallowed ground.” Then, indulge your competitive streak with
classic games like Ms. Pac-Man, Asteroids and Pong.
You’ll also enjoy some of our current release wines and a special treat from the Groth family cellar. We’ll have a selection of hearty, wine-friendly hors d’oeuvres, along with a Cubano Station serving traditional sandwiches pressed to order. Live music by Justin Diaz and the company of other friendly fans of wine and food will round out what’s sure to be a beautiful day, rain or shine.
